This help document outlines how to edit a learning object in the Curriculum Engine.
*NOTE* You can only edit learning objects that you have created or copied. You cannot edit the learning objects that come pre-populated in the Curriculum Engine although you can make a copy of them and edit the copied version.
To begin editing a learning object, go to the Content menu at the top right of the screen and select Learning Object Manager:
This will open the Learning Object Manager window. See our help documents on Filtering & Searching to quickly find the learning object that you want to edit.
Once you find the learning object you want to edit, click the pencil icon at the bottom right of the learning object card:
Learning Object Steps
Below is a summary of the three steps related to editing a learning object. Click on any of the topic headings to jump to the help document for that area.
Step 1: Set Properties. You can edit some of the base parameters of your learning object including information such as the name and description.

Step 2: Select Standards & Skills. You can add additional standards and skills, or instructional objectives, to the learning object however you cannot delete the existing associated standards.

Publishing a Learning Object
When publishing a learning object, depending on the type of learning object created, you may also have the ability to create an associated learning object such as an answer key or supporting resource.

*NOTE* Any updates you make to the learning object, will automatically flow through to any courses that use the learning object.
