This help document shows you how to update the type of learning object you are creating as well as update the associated content.
When editing a new learning object, there are three steps. Updating the type of learning object is part of Step 3: Upload/Link LO.
Update Learning Object Type
The learning object type will default to what is currently set. You can update the type if needed by using the drop down listing.
Click the drop down to change the type of learning object:
You can select the following types:
Document: You can upload a PDF or other document type to the learning object. *NOTE* If possible, we recommend you upload a PDF as it opens natively within the Curriculum Engine. Other document types can be used, but students will need to download them from the Curriculum Engine to access them.
Desmos: You can enter the desmos link into the learning object.
GeoGebra: You can enter the GeoGebra link into the learning object.
Video: You can either upload or link to a video in the learning object. The video can be an OER or something you or the district has created. *NOTE* If you upload the video, it will open natively within the Curriculum Engine. If you link to the video, it will open as a pop up in another window.
Link (URL): You can link to a website or URL for the learning object.
Online Assessment / Worksheet: With this options, you can create an online assessment or worksheet using the questions in the Curriculum Engine item bank. If you select this learning object type, the Add button will become available. Text: You can enter text directly into the learning object.
Once you have selected the learning object type and entered your content either via upload or link, you are ready to save or publish your learning object. See Learning Object Editor | Step 3: Saving or publishing your updating learning object for more information.
