This help document covers editing instructional settings for the course you are modifying. The fields under this section are optional. They provide additional descriptive and helpful information about your course. 


When editing a course, Editing Instructional Settings can be found under Step 1: Set Properties.

 

 

Instructional Settings (Optional)


Click the down caret to expand the Instructional Settings section:



Fields Available

 

Instructional Strategies: Select the type of instructional strategy from the drop-down menu. You can check more than one option. 


Options include:

Text-to-Speech

Close Reading

Concept/Word Cards

Novel Ideas

Mathematical Discourse

Annotation

Graphic Organizers

Technology-enhanced Content

 

Standards for Mathematical Practice: Select the standards from the drop-down menu. You can check more than one option.

 

Options include:
1 - Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.

2 - Reason abstractly and quantitatively.

3 - Construct viable arguments and critique the reasoning of others.

4 - Model with mathematics.

5 - Use appropriate tools strategically.

6 - Attend to precision.

7 - Look for and make use of structure.

8 - Look for and express regularity in repeated reasoning.

 

Difficulty Level: Select the difficulty level from the drop-down menu. You can only select one option or leave the field blank. The options are Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

 

Level of Engagement: Select the engagement level from the drop-down menu. You can only select one option or leave the field blank. The options are High, Medium, and Low.

 

Instructional Emphasis: Select the instructional emphasis from the drop-down menu. You can check more than one option.

When done, you can click the Next button at the bottom of the screen to move on to Course Editor | Step 2: Update the standards and skills used with a course.
