This help document covers selecting the standards for your course. Here you will identify your standard consortia, subject, and the course level or grade standards to be used with your course. Your selection here impacts what recommendations the Curriculum Engine makes around suggested lessons.
When Building a New Course, you go through five steps. Selecting the standard set is part of Step 2: Select Standards & Skills.
Select Standard Set
At the beginning of Step 2, the bottom section Select the Standard Set will be displayed as this section needs to be completed first before you can Select Standards and Skills for your course.
Fields under Select Standard Set include:
Standard Consortia: Select the standards used by your district from the drop-down menu. You should only see the standards that have been assigned to your district.
Subject: Select Mathematics from the drop-down menu.
Course/Grade Standards: Select the course associated with the class you are creating from the drop-down menu. You will see those courses assigned by your district that are associated with the standards selected under standard consortia.
Once you have entered these three fields, a Show Standards and Skills button will be activated:
Click the Show Standards and Skills button to select the standards you want to associate with the course. You cannot move on to the next step until you have selected at least one standard for your course.
See Course Builder | Step 2: How to select specific standards and skills for your course for next steps.
