Below is additional information related to the impact of changing the Interactive Practice Problems from Optional to Standard. This change was included in our last software update which was released on February 11, 2021.
** Additional Information **The change in updating Interactive Practice Problems (IPP) from optional to standard learning objects impacts usage across the platform. We apologize for any initial confusion this may have caused. The decision to make this change was driven by extensive customer feedback and we are confident that it will ultimately streamline the process of working with and incorporating the online digital tasks into your lessons.
Below is additional information on the impact of this update and how you access and work with these standard IPP learning objects now. |
No Assignments for IPP |
Teachers no longer need to assign IPP to students in order for them to see the tasks. Students will automatically have access to the IPP once the course has been assigned to them. Because of this change, any previously created assignments that contained only IPP tasks have been removed. Any parameters that you set previously — including due dates, restricted periods and additional properties — will still be associated with that learning object, but they are no longer part of assignments. To access and update parameters for these standard IPP tasks you will now use the Manage Course feature. |
Running Item Analysis Report for IPP |
When running the Item Analysis Report to get grade results for these standard IPP learning objects, the "Additional Assignment" field can be left blank and the IPP can be selected in the Learning Object drop down field.
A few key points on the drop down selection for the Learning Object:

Share IPP to Google Classroom |
Now that IPP tasks are no longer part of assignments, to share those tasks to Google Classroom, you will use the Google Classroom links under Manage Course. You can share the IPP to Google Classroom individually, or you can select and share multiple tasks at once. |
Student View Updates |
The change in IPP to standard has a few small impacts on the student view that we want to highlight:
