This help document will show you how to name the assignments that you create in the Curriculum Engine.


Creating assignments for students is done under the Manage Course feature. Please see Classes | Manage Course overview for more information. 


Under the Course Plan and Progress Tracking heading, you’ll see a section for View & Create Assignments. Click the Start button located on the right to access assignments. 


 

You can also access assignments via the quick launch. Please see Assignments | Using quick launch to access assignments. 



Create Assignment


This will open the View & Create Assignments window. Any assignments that have already been created will be listed on the left under Assignment Name.


 

To create a new assignment, click the Create New Additional Assignment link at the bottom right of the window. 


The Create Assignment window will open.

Under the Additional Assignment Name field, enter the name of the assignment you are creating.  



Best Practice Tips


Name your assignment something that clearly indicates what learning objects you have included in the assignment.  


For example, in the assignment name above, we have used the structure: 


<hierarchy path (Unit 2, Topic A:)> <task (Pre-Assessment)>


Whatever structure you decide on, use it consistently as you create and manage  your assignments so you can easily edit or update any assignments as needed.
