This help document outlines the users roles available in the Curriculum Engine.
There are four user types that can be setup on the Curriculum Engine:
- District Supervisor
- School Administrator
- Teacher
- Student
Each role has access to specific features and functionality on the platform.
District Supervisor
In addition to all the functionality available to Teachers, District Supervisors can also manage district level features such as approving and sharing of teacher created content and development and distribution of district level curriculum resources. District supervisors can create, setup and manage other users (school administrators, teachers, students), classes and schools in the system. They can also access additional reports related to product usage and log in data.
School Administrator
In addition to all the functionality available to Teachers, School Administrators can also manage school level features such as approving and sharing of teacher created content and development and distribution of curriculum resources for the school. School Administrators can create, setup and manage other teachers, students and classes in the system.
Teachers
Teachers have access to their assigned courses. They can also copy, modify and create additional courses. They have access to the learning object repository and can add their own content. They can share their teacher created resources with the school administrator or district supervisor for approval and usage across the school or district. They have access to their classes where they can manage their courses and create assignments for students. They have access to reporting features including item analysis, course performance and progress and the gradebook.
Students
Students have access to their digital course materials, assignments and reports specific to their performance.
