You can preview, save, or publish a course. These three options are located at the top right of the window under Course Editor. This help document shows you how to save a draft of the course.

**Best Practice** As you are editing your course, it is a good practice to periodically save a draft of the course you are working on so as to not lose any of your updates or changes.

Save Draft

To save a draft of the course, click the Save Draft button on the top right:

You'll be prompted that the course has been saved:

To access a course that you have saved, go to Content --> Course Manager, and click the “Show Drafts” checkbox at the top right:

Depending on your user level, you will see different views here.

For District Supervisor logins, click on the “District Courses” Tab to display any courses that are in Draft Mode.

For Teacher logins, click on the “Courses Created by Me” Tab to display any courses that are in Draft Mode.

To return to a draft course that has not been published, click the pencil icon under “Actions”.

This will return you to the Course Editor. See Course Editor | How to edit an existing course for help documentation on creating, editing, and publishing a new course.

**NOTE** The Curriculum Engine will also periodically save a draft of the course you are working on, so if you leave without saving it is a good practice to check your draft courses first before starting again from scratch. Your course may be located there.

If you are ready to publish the course, see Course Editor | How to publish a course
