This help document shows you how to add a custom lesson to your course. You can then add learning objects or custom resources to the lesson.

When Editing a Course, you can add custom lessons to your course under Step 4: Edit Course Content.

Add Custom Lesson

To access the "Add Lesson" menu option, click the Add button at the top right of the course:

Select the "Add Custom" option from the drop-down menu.

The new lesson will be added to the bottom of your course.

You can enter the name for your lesson in the blank name field. In the example below, “Custom Lesson” is the name.

Add Materials to Custom Lesson

For Custom Lessons, you can add Learning Objects or Additional Resources. To access these two options, click the ellipsis menu:

ADD LO

Select Add LO to add learning objects to your custom lesson. You will be able to pick from any learning objects that match the standards associated with the course. See Course Editor | Step 4: Adding a learning object to a lesson for more information.

Add Resource

You can also add your own resources to the custom lesson. Resources can be a document you upload or a link to a website. Select "Add Resource" to add other resources to your custom lesson. See Course Editor | Step 4: Adding a resource to a lesson for more information.

In addition to adding learning objects, you can update and modify your lesson as you would the pre-populated lessons. See Course Editor | Step 4: How to update course content for more information on editing the lesson structure in your course.

Or, go to Course Editor | Step 4: How to customize the lessons in a course to edit and customize the lessons in your course.
