This help document covers editing the course details for the course that you are modifying. This includes the course name and other descriptive information.
When editing a course, editing the course details is part of Step 1: Set Properties.
Course Details
The Course Details section is where you provide information about the course and set the course parameters. You can edit all but the subject field when modifying a course.
Fields under Course Details include:
- Name: Update the name of your course.
- Description: Enter a description of the course you are creating.
- Type of Course: Select the changes to the type of course from the drop-down menu.
Options include:
- Teacher-led Online
- Teacher-led Offline
- Teacher-led Blended
- Independent Study Online
- Independent Study Offline
- Independent Study Blended
Purpose of Course: Select the changes to the purpose of course from the drop-down menu.
Options include:
- Remediation
- Credit recovery
- Extended assignment
- Core
- Other
Subject: This field is not editable. It will default to what was selected when the course was created.
Instructional Approach: Check the updated selections from the drop-down menu that align with the course you are editing. You can check more than one option; you must select at least one option.
Options include:
- Collaboration
- Differentiation
- Direct Instruction
- Guided Inquiry
- Independent Practice
- Problem-based Instruction
