This help document outlines some common areas to troubleshoot if you see a blank page when you try to launch content in the Curriculum Engine.

Pop-Up Blockers

Does the blank screen appear as soon as you log in, or when you try to launch the course view or other features?

You are logged into the Curriculum Engine, and you try to launch a learning object or other content, but all you see is a blank page. Likely a pop-up blocker is enabled.

You will need to check the specific instructions for your browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Firefox) on how to enable pop-ups. See Login | Disabling pop-up blockers in your browser for more information.

A good initial test to see if this may be the issue is to try logging into the Curriculum Engine using a different browser.

** NOTE** The Curriculum Engine is not browser-specific, although we have had a few users encounter login issues while using Firefox.

Whitelisting URLs

Is anyone else in your school or district having access issues?

If multiple people are having access issues with opening learning objects that are websites, your school or district may need to whitelist the Curriculum Engine URLs. See Login | Whitelisting the Curriculum Engine URLs for information on how to whitelist the necessary domains.

Clear Browser Cache

If neither of the above two options resolves the issue, try clearing your browser cache/cookies. The cookies or cache may have become corrupted, which may cause site issues.

Check your browser's instructions on how to:

  •  Clear the Cache
  •  Remove Cookies

Disable Add-Ons

Do you have any add-ons running in your browser?

If you use add-ons for your browser, they may be causing display issues. To troubleshoot, try running your browser in safe mode with the add-ons disabled. This should resolve the problem if a browser add-on is the culprit.
