This help document outlines navigation tips for using the course builder.


Expand or Contract Sections

 

As you move through the Course Builder, each step can have multiple sections that may default to open or closed depending on where you are in course creation. 

 

At the top right of each section, you can click the up caretto collapse a section that is open, or the down caret to open a section that is closed.

 

Open Drop-Down Menus


For fields that are associated with a drop-down menu, you can click the down arrowlocated at the right of the field to see the options available. **Note** This will only be visible on fields that have drop-down menus.

 

Move through Steps

 

As you move through the Course Builder steps, there are previous and next buttons located at the bottom of the screen that allow you to move forward and back.

Expand Ellipsis Menu

 

When you see an ellipsis (three vertical dots), you can click it to expand and see additional menu options.

 

 

Delete Items

 

You can delete items by either clicking on the Trash icon or the “X” to the right of that item. Depending on where you are in the course builder, one or the other of the delete icons will be available if the item is one that can be deleted.

 

 

Reorder Items

 

To drag and drop items where available, hover over the equal sign (=) to the left of the item until your cursor changes to a four-way arrow. Then click to grab that item, drag it to whatever spot in you would like to move it, and release it. 

 

 

Search

 

When you have a search bar available, you can enter your search item and click on the magnifying glass to narrow down the results and drill into the data.

 

 

Filter

 

When you are searching through the standards, you will have the ability to filter the information to help narrow down your results. Click the “Filter” button at the top left to expand your options and then select the items by which you want to filter your results. In the example below, we want to see only warm-up learning objects in our results.

 

 

Select All

 

When you have multiple selection options available, if you click the “Select All” option at the top of the listing, it will select all of the options automatically. If you uncheck the “Select All” option, all of the items below it will be unselected.
