This help document provides an example of how to disable pop-up blockers in your browser. When using the Curriculum Engine, some browsers will open Learning Objects in a separate window. If you have a pop-up blocker turned on, it may interfere with this process.

Disabling Pop-up Blockers

Disabling a pop-up blocker will be unique to the browser that you are using (i.e. Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox). Please review the help documentation for your browser to get specific instructions on allowing pop-ups.

Example in Google Chrome

Below is an example of how to disable the pop-up blocker in Google Chrome:

Open your Google Chrome browser and click the ellipsis menu at the top right to display options. Click the Settings option to expand that menu. **NOTE** It will open this menu and related options in your browser.

Click the caret to the right of the Advanced option in the Settings menu to expand the topics. Select the "Privacy and security" option.

Under "Privacy and security," click Site Settings.

Select "Pop-ups and redirects".

Be sure the pop-up blocker is turned off. Grayed out (as shown below) is OFF. Green is ON.

Again, each browser will have a different way to turn off pop-up blockers. Please refer to specific instructions on turning off pop-up blockers for the browser you are using.
